Midi File type 1  -This is a General Midi File with multiple tracks that retain original production data.   They retain track labels which, for copyright reasons, can only be viewed by specialized software.  Some Sound Modules and Keyboards cannot read Midi Files in this format and for technical reasons, where they can be read, they are particularly difficult to alter or key change.

Midi File type 0 This also is a General Midi File with multiple tracks where the individual drum tracks have been combined into a single stereo track.  Also, this format does not retain track label information and it can be played on all Standard Midi File sound modules and keyboards.   This is the reason why all of our Midi Files are supplied in type 0 format and each file is individually encoded with our recognition data.
